There’s no stopping us!

Friday 6th February
News broadcasts can’t stop talking about it, children are loving it and it stopped me flying to Edinburgh - that’s right, snow! I didn’t imagine I would be beginning my update with talk of the freezing weather again but it’s hard not to when, as the morning broke over SAW - The Ride on Monday, the track was blanketed in a light covering of snow. It didn’t stop T.G. Cruse travelling all the way up from Andover though. They were on site bright and early and ride commissioning even started up again in the afternoon. London may have ground to a halt but there was still a buzz of activity at THORPE PARK.
Things are moving along nicely now. We have all 8 ride cars on the track and Gerstlauer and the Park engineers began running them on Tuesday 20th January. So far they have already completed more than 250 test runs as part of the main commissioning of the ride.
Steel work at the entrance to the queue line has also been installed and is awaiting signage, and about half of the paving for the whole SAW - The Ride area has been laid, but obviously the snow makes this job a little difficult. We’ve also erected the retail structure and ride photo booth. They are both now waiting to be themed and fitted.
As well as all this we’ve fitted a lot of the internal theming now. Atmospheric lighting is being installed and props are being put in place inside the station building. Even though I can’t tell you what they are, you are going to love them! Sorry, I don’t mean to tease!

Can’t wait to see the inside theming- Bein based on a movie were all expecting it to be American standard, and looks like it will be!

OMG, it looks so amazing, i go to thorpepark 4 times a yeaar =] Every time im there i always buy fast tracks for stealth but not now its going to be for the SAW ride wooooo. The videos are amazing, waiting for the others yeah and don’t make it too revealing
I hope the entrance will be like in SAWs house or something.. I cant wait :):D

I can’t wait, I’m going on the Saturday it opens!

The age restiction is a recommendation, and has been confirmed as 12 years.
It has also been said that there will be some original props, not replicas, thanks to working with Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures.
Me and all my mates are soo excited now, having followed development since the first planning applications went in we can’t wait now we are inside the final 3 weeks! I have my ticket for March 14th already

Wow.. My birthday is March 11th and I am going to Thorpe for my birthday.. Can’t wait to go on this ride, It looks absolutely amazing and I think its really cool how they can do so much development in such a short time.. Can’t wait Thorpe, its gonna be amazing.
And about that on-ride camera which can record you on Saw - The Ride, do you need like a special pass or a wristband or anything extra to get that?

Cant wait to go! Was planning on going on the day it opens but I have school, so I thought I should go on the day after but I have to go to a football match!
Still I have been excited for a long time for this!
I have planned to go ever since I knew about the name, which by coincidence was on the same week that saw I, II, III and Im not sure if IV was being previewed on the TV, but also me and my friends had been into saw at the time too…AND Saw V was out not too long before that in cinema…freaky stuff, huh? Still, cant wait to ride the ‘Scariest Rollercoaster In The World’!!!
Well, I cant wait and im guessing neither can a lot of people. I’ll see you all there!

This ride will be immense, though I have to ask: is there going to be some sort of scary video before or after the ride? You keep saying children over 12 should be wary, but why?

Age Limit Is 12, Similiar To Most Rollercoasters, And Also if You Have A Very Huge Thigh Or A V.Thin Thigh, You May Not Be Able To Ride This Coaster

Oh my God I cannot wait for this!!!!!! I consider myself an extreme enthusiast, though I only visit theme parks twice a year tops due to funding/time e.t.c. and this could well top off what is already the joint best park in the UK (along with Alton Towers). Brilliant work thorpe park and everyone else who helped to make it.
Some tips for everyone else who wants to ride this on opening day!
1) Only go on opening day/weekend IF:
You are prepared to wait in excess of 4 hours to get on this ride, I would expect fast-track wait time of between 30mins to 45mins but possibly even a whole hour. I’m not kidding when I went to Legoland last year it was a 3 hour wait for the Viking Splash boat ride which opened a month before, imagine the chaos for this…
You are prepared to arrive at Thorpe Park between 45 mins and 1h 1/2 before opening time as this will allow you to be one of the first in, thus able to leg it to SAW and beat the queues. I would not be surprised if some people camp out the night before hand, no im not joking it happens.
2) Do NOT be spoilsports!!!
I cannot stress how annoying it is when someone comes out of a film that I am about to go into and natters loudly about the ending to their friend so everyone else can hear. So don’t go around shouting about the interior themeing as that is what will make this ride and you just ruin the experience for others. This inculdes to an extent blabbing on the internet as you will ruin the ride for even more people. PoVs are fine as they are optional but accidently reading a report of the entire ride is really annoying.
3)Don’t wet yourself with fear! :p
